The Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport is a captivating indoor-outdoor destination, boasting an extensive collection of restored public transit vehicles and historical artifacts. As the oldest and largest mass transit museum in the country, it offers a fascinating journey through transportation history. Visitors can explore historic trolley cars, rapid transit trains, trolley buses, and motor buses while taking a 25-minute trolley ride.
Absolutely recommend visiting this place if you're even remotely interested in history, transit, or just want a fun unique experience! The Seashore Trolley museum is one of the coolest museums I have ever visited. As a transit geek such as myself, learning all about the history of streetcars, where they went, and future history behind it is amazing. They have a HUGE collection of old trolleys and even buses from all over the United States and even some outside of the US! Trolley rides are offered on historical trolleys to a small mini park giving visitors an excellent guide on the history of trolleys. You can also bike along the same track (if you so wish). For getting there, it's best to have a car, but if you don't, the Amtrak Downeaster stops nearby in Saco and Wells, a Greyhound bus serves Wells as well. Note that a Taxi/Uber IS required to access the museum as it's decently remote. Anybody in the Maine area stopping by that is visiting this area MUST stop here!

Staff is incredibly friendly and there’s a lot to see. Everyone we spoke with was very knowledgeable and answered any and all questions we had during our trolley ride. Only complaint is the trail was a bit hard to follow, even with the map, as it wasn’t well marked.
Nikkia P — Google review
This was so much fun. The people working there know so much about all the electricity powered trolleys there. I didn't realize how prevalent they used to be. The ticket allows you to do a multi-mile tour on a refurbished trolley. It was way longer than I expected and was awesome!I went because of my husband and we both had an amazing time. It's a must do while in Kennebunkport!
Kristin K — Google review
Everyone was very nice. The trolley was beautifully decorated, and they had hot chocolate for the kids. They also had a fire pit with marshmallows to roast.

What a great place ride the trolleys and see their new awesome donated exhibit!
Karenlee N — Google review
The length of the trolley ride was just right for our family. Checked some boxes. We didn't explore too much around the grounds, though, as we were low on time. We did spend a good amount of time in the model train area, although not finished, it was still nice. Might need signs in the bathrooms in that new building to know which button to use to flush that fancy toilet, haha. All the staff and volunteers were very nice.I found the prices at the gift shop pretty standard, and I'm so excited about the train duck.

This place is amazing, and during the holidays, wow!! I took my dad in December, and we had a blast! The trollies are beautifully decorated, your tix gets you access to all of the public building, you can see a whole fleet of trollies/trains in various stages of restoration. There is a room for kids with Mr. and Mrs. Clause (real people!), a gingerbread train station, activities, free hot coco. The ride is 30 minutes through beautiful woods, and at the end, there was a wood fire with marshmallows to roast. The staff are amazing, it was so low key and SO much more affordable than other holiday train rides. The trolly was warm, very toasty. Supporting a non-profit feels good, and this one was so great! I highly recommend! We went to the Candy Land room in the lincoln hotel in Biddeford after the trolly ride....it was a perfect day! Go, enjoy, don't delay!

I thought this was a fascinating museum, covering trolleys in the world's first and largest museum of mass transit vehicles. It was fun to walk through some of them and hear about the history of transportation. They do run seasonally - opening in May, 2024. They also run seasonal events.

Visited opening day for the 2024 season. What a great museum, they have trolleys and buses from around the world. We enjoyed being able to explore and get up close to these transit relics!

Ogunquit Beach is a popular summer destination known for its large expanse of white sand, making it perfect for activities like swimming, sunbathing, and picnicking. It has gained recognition as one of the best beaches in the United States, with accolades for its beauty, cleanliness, and stunning sunset views.
Very beautiful beach. We went on Saturday and it was packed.Unfortunately the restaurant was close 😕, so only ice-cream and shakes are available.Rest rooms were clean and housekeeping staff was cleaning the rest rooms regularly. We really appreciate there hard work.Parking fee is 25 dollars for whole day.I think Parking is close after 9 pm.Country side area around the beach is beautiful.Water on this beach is very cold.Overall our day was fantastic there.Hopefully we will be back soon.

Absolutely gorgeous. Great for kids since there is a bay side that is shallow without the waves. Very soft white sand. Really clean. Parking is hard though so walking or the trolley is best.

Best beach out there. Beautiful, clear water. Plenty of parking, restrooms, a few shops and places to eat as well.

This beach is humongous! Even on the hottest beach day, there’s plenty of room! The sand is great and the beach is clean. The adjacent Ogunquit River also has a beach. Limited public parking on site. Best beach on the coast.

I love this beach in the winter as much as the summer! Huge area when tide is low. Not much space for beaching when high tide. Amazing for walking. Lots of parking. Public bathrooms too! Close to center of town. Lots of shops around.

Gorgeous spot; can get a bit busy during the warmer seasons but can be low-key at night and in the off season.

So beautiful here especially before the summer crowds. Convenient parking and so many beautiful places to swim

Amazing beach. We travel a lot and we compare this one to Mayflower Beach in Cape Cod. Of course, water is cold so ocean water activities are limited, but this is Maine, so not subtracting one star for that. Absolutely bring inflatable for kids or teens to go up and down the river. When tide is going in, the river water is flowing in and kids can ride all the way from mouth of the river at ocean, under bridge, to sand flats, get out in right, then walk through parking lots back. When tide is going our, the flow reverses and they can ride back from last the bridge into the ocean. It’s a lot of fun for them! The beach is HUGE when tide is out. Almost too large haha looooong walk to the ocean, but gorgeous!Be there by 9 AM to find parking. We were on a cool not hot day, Saturday, partly clouded, but Labor Day weekend and we took one of the last 5 remaining spots at 9:20 AM. Beach is wonderful. Bring inflatables for the River.Subtracting one star as it is not possible to get out on main road after you are done with the beach. There are multiple converging roads and no street light. Traffic is at stand still and some have stop sight and others don’t, however, people ignore stop sign because otherwise they will never get out, and that intersection looks like the worst one I have ever seen with all cars in the middle of it congested driving in different directions.

Google Maps takes you to a private resort with no public access to the beach. You are going to have better success reaching the beach 🏖️ using Ogunquit Public Beach. If you walk from the public access, you might be able to get close to the spot where Google Maps says the beach is.Ogunquit Beach is great 👍! It connects to Footbridge Beach, which is also a great beach ⛱️. The tide 🌊 can be very high and space can disappear.Even on a warm day in February, there was a good crowd there.I like to visit even though the parking 🅿️ is expensive 🫰.

Perkins Cove Rd is a charming and unassuming road in Ogunquit, Maine, lined with local shops, eateries, and boating/fishing operations. It's home to one of the most-photographed spots in Maine: a historic pedestrian drawbridge.
A quaint little sea side town. Sure, it’s mostly a tourist trap with all the shops, but I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t super fun and that I couldn’t find cute things. The smell of the ocean is amazing, and all the boats are amazing to watch folks work. Worth the visit. Plus, leads to the gorgeous Marginal Way.

Finally! I didn't have to be stuck in traffic in the summer to visit! I walked the Marginal Way trail from Stearns Rd, which isn't very far.Enjoyable short walk around the Cove and across the bridge. Nice views of the ocean 🌊 and the fishing 🎣 vessels. I'm not certain how much parking 🅿️ is, but, space is limited and there is a parking 🅿️ meter to pay. Public restrooms available.Restaurants and shoppes to check out. I only visited a cafe since my time was limited.Go off season, end 🔚 of April, to avoid the crowds and go early.

Perkins Cove is a charming place to come shop for beautiful give, delicious food and nice people to talk to. They have a bridge the goes to the other side of a neighborhood, they will honk the horn from the boat coming in and whoever was on the draw bridge must open the bridge to let the boat cone through. It was beautiful to see the as well.We are visiting from Oregon, and been to Perkins Cove quite a few years ago and just love it here in Ogunquit, Maine.I bought a beautiful ring and earrings from Out of the Blue, Husband bought clam chowder just a place to get lovely items in the stores.

In addition to skiing and snowboarding, visitors can enjoy Nordic terrain, tubing, and a thrilling mountain coaster. The resort also features camping facilities and extensive hiking and biking trails for outdoor enthusiasts. During the summer months, guests can experience zip lining, ropes courses, playgrounds for children aged 2 to 12, and even a swimming hole.
Really enjoy snowboarding here!!! The mountain itself is large enough to have a variety of trails, but small enough (and affordable enough) to feel like an old school mountain resort - which it is!!There is a nice lodge at the top that offers draft beer, along with some food and an awesome view of Lake Winnipesaukee and Mount Washington!!Gunstock also has a great deal; for $50, you can get a night lift ticket AND rentals!! That is an incredible deal

This is a great year-round resort to visit! We just did the Belknap County Resident Day and got to ride the chair lift and the mountain coaster for free! The chair lift ride was very relaxing and there were great views from the top. The mountain coaster was a blast! They also have a zip line, ropes courses, and playgrounds for children ages 2 to 12. Do check online though for age and height requirements for some of the adventures. There's even a swimming hole (but no lifeguard). You do need to have closed toe shoes (sneakers are recommended) for all the adventures except for the chair lift. The resort also has quite a large campground on site. Staff are very helpful and friendly.
Pamela W — Google review
Staff was great- friendly, knowledgeable, helpful. Adventure park was well staffed. Campground staff addressed issues promptly and completely. Campground is very large, but there are NO pull-throughs for very large RVs. Outdoor pool, dog friendly with a dog park. Nature walks. Playground. Nice small brook running all through the campground. Campers have access to walk/bike in adventure park and get discounted ticket prices.

I have some skateboarding experience so decided to try snowboarding. I scheduled a lesson to learn more and got partnered up with 18-year old Derrin and learned a lot! A lot of trial and error but he was patient and great demonstrating where I was messing up and how to correct my balance and posture on the snowboard.

Nice ski resort. There is a wide range of runs, some of which are fairly long. The only negative is that there is not a lot of space for eating on a busy day.

Gun stock has always been one of my favorite mountains. Very user friendly with many different types of terrait's easy to get to from just about anywhere. Ticket prices are through the roof everywhere, but gunstalk seems to be. A bit lower than a definite work very hard to make snow and get people on the slopes
Jason P — Google review
Gunstock offers incredible views of Lake Winnipesaukee, and even Mount Washington. Terrain is generally well maintained, and the mountain offers a decent selection of trails. Terrain parks were also very good. My only suggestion would be lift upgrades.
Joe P — Google review
I visited in June, the mountain coaster alone is worth the visit! The ride lasts about 5 minutes total (including the ride uphill) if you go as fast as it allows. You can slow down with the brakes if you want to enjoy the views. Which are beautiful by the way! There is also an outdoor church that meets at the summit on Sunday mornings. That was really cool, although they aren't always at Gunstock Mountain, they visit different locations.

The Strawbery Banke Museum, situated on a 10-acre site, is an outdoor living-history museum that showcases numerous buildings, gardens, and crafts. Named after the first settlement on the Piscataqua River, it offers a glimpse into Portsmouth's evolution from a small town in 1623 to a bustling port city. The museum features various houses furnished and decorated according to different historical eras, while others are preserved to demonstrate their construction with cutaway displays and exhibits of tools and materials.
Still working to present the truth. Learning from history and progressive understanding of Strawberry Banke early Portsmouth settlement happens here. Always improving. Need for more honesty and Integrity Always. All of us. Sum of Us.

Strawbery Banke is the absolute best. The folks that work there are clearly so passionate about Portsmouth history and they put on the most spectacular events. Our favorite is Ghosts on the Banke, which is just magic. We also recently visited for the Heritage Breeds baby animals day and it was so adorable. Lots of space and grass for kids to run around, explore, and burn some energy. But also really calm and peaceful.

This was a great Museum. It has free and ample parking. It is a good thing the ticket is good for two days as we closed the Museum and went to finish the next morning. There is a lot to see and learn. The people portraying people from the past are extremely good and don't break character.

Very cool experience that felt like we had gone back in time. You’ll get to tour an entire neighborhood of historic houses that have been preserved and there are a few employees acting in character from different time periods. We went to the corner store and learned how to get our food rations during WWII, we saw chickens, we learned how they cooked and what they ate in even earlier centuries, and we also got a simple demonstration on weaving! We even learned that in the taverns they used to pass around a bowl of rum for everyone to sip on!

Great experience. This living museum really stood out and the role playing staff added a very unique element to our visit. It was fascinating to interact with them! We appreciated the Grocer lady demonstrating how ration cards were used and were impressed how she never broke character. The food theory lady was very informative even while roasting a chicken in a hearth during a hot day! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

This is a great historical park, with period buildings that describe what life was like in another era. Staff is in dress costume to match the time and are very good talking about what occured in the early days of America. In the winter, there is a skating park. Easy walk to shops and restaurants afterward. I thought the day spent there was lovely.

This is trip back in time. This place is rich with history. I can tell the entire area is well taken care of. Everyone who works here is friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoyed the exhibits as much as the staff. This is a great place for children as well as adults. It's interesting to see how people lived throughout the years. I'm glad this has been able to be preserved us and future generations

Excellent living history experience. The staff, both in costume/character and the ones in regular maroon shirts, were very knowledgeable and took time to talk to us to make our experience even better.

One of a kind museum which preserved pretty much the entire neighborhood. Adult ticket costs $23. A few houses have been moved here. This place demonstrates the stories of the sailors and navies in the last couple of centuries who used to live here. It also gives a broad overview of how water level used to be and how people used to handle tides etc. The best part of the museum is that there were two live actors who pretend to be like it's 1912 or 1943. They are funny and hilarious, I had a chat with one of them for 20 minutes, he was talking about his sons that they were preparing for world war 2. He also asked me to show my ration card to buy food from his store!!

Hampton Beach State Park, located at the mouth of the Hampton River in New Hampshire, offers a classic New England seaside experience. The 50-acre park features white-sand beaches with tidal pools for kids and a vibrant boardwalk lined with restaurants, shops, and amusements. Visitors can enjoy swimming in the Atlantic Ocean, sunbathing on the well-maintained shoreline, or taking leisurely strolls along the water's edge.
This is a good beach for locals or vacationers as it's usually well kept. There's an assortment of shoppes open in the summer and enough activities to spend the day here. The beach is beautiful in winter, the sunrises are just as stunning in February as they are in July. Worth a visit if you're in the area, but there are definitely better areas 20-30 minutes away in Maine. If you happen to be visiting between May-August the center of sea creatures in worth a visit. Located on the beach, it's a small building with a one-way walking loop inside. There are touch tanks and more information than most can digest in a single visit. The staff are very passionate about their studies as most are undergrads working for the summer. The beach shoppes are what you'd find at pretty much every other recognized beach / pier area. Toys and summer clothes are available for a higher cost.If you're 21+ Bernie's Beach Bar is a great place to spend a (probably drunken) evening and night. They have a live showing venue on the second floor with a few mini bars, then a connecting deck with a full bar. We came July 2022 to see Lil Jon and some local artists perform. Not a good place to bring a 'pack of smokes' though, they do a decent search at the door and got mine from the inner seam of my wallet. Oops!

Visitors who do not make a reservation will be admitted on a first-come/first-serve basis. Reservations can be made prior to arrival and no later than 3pm on the day of your visit. Please plan ahead in the event the parking areas reach capacity.Parking Fees: $15 per passenger vehicle. NH residents age 65 and over $0.Recreational Vehicles (RV) must pay $30 as they require 2 parking spaces.Reservations are still recommended.Tollboth: ClosedBathhouse: Open 8:00 am - 8:00 pm.

Scenic beach in the New England area. The cities of Concord and Manchester are nearby. This is a perfect summer destination to add to a New England itinerary, especially headed north to Maine. My itinerary started in Boston and ended in Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Maine. The Atlantic waters are cold even in the summer. The sunrise is something to behold. On the weekends and holidays, try to get here early for parking opportunities. If headed upstate New Hampshire the white mountains are a must see especially in the fall with the changing leaves.

Once a granite quarry, the park now showcases the Earth's raw beauty and power.
I've been coming to Halibut Point State Park for about 7 years now. Over the past couple years, a lot of work has been completed to clean up the trails and the location in general. In the summer, there are lots of wildflowers coloring the scene, and the view down by the water is just amazing. If you don't mind a walk back in the dark... Sunset down by the water, or up in the cliffs is an absolute must.

honestly this is one of those places that you just HAVE to visit if you are in the area. if you live here, you already know about it. it's a really nice place to take a walk, to hang out with friends, to meditate, to breathe, to listen. it's definitely not the place for tomfoolery or littering, so be respectful and careful on the massive pile of rocks that constitute the viewpoint.

Beautiful looking state park. The rocks on the edge of the ocean makes it more enchanting. You can sit on the rocks and experience waves splashing at you whole day! I loved my time spending here as the weather was bit cloudy. Family and kids friendly place. Don’t forget to bring your own food if you decide to stay up for a little longer time. There is also a small walking trail.

This park is incredibly beautiful, a veiw from every direction. This park is the perfect length for walking, takes you from fields of flowers to a stunning lake and then to the ocean. I believe the lighthouse has beverages, which had already closed when we were there, so check for hours or bring your own water because it can be quite warm in the summer. Also, there is a fee for parking, cheaper for residents, and there are porta-potties there which are across from the park. And if you want to bring your furry friend, it is also dog friendly. We had no problem maneuvering strollers around the park except for the path to the beach, it is steeper and very sandy.I hope you all get a chance to go and enjoy the veiw.

We came here at the end of March. The temperature was in the high 40s. It was out of season. Which made it nice because it was quiet. Great views of the ocean, the lighthouse, and the granite quarry. Walking trails take you to all three places.

A wonderful state park that has been maintained very beautifully. Parking for out of state vehicle is 20$.There is small trail that you can walk around and enjoy all the scenic points and it makes it worth while. The ocean view was majestic . The cool breeze was such a breather.Definitely worth visiting if you are here.

Lovely location near an old quarry with panoramic ocean views. Plenty of walking tables, stone benches, and picnic tables. Visitor center in season with restrooms.

Wonderful experience. Easy hiking with multiple trails. Great view of the quarry and the ocean. Open access to walking on the rocks at the water's edge. Hidden gem for sure.Parking lot paid with kiosk. But no entry fee to the park.

A very charming little street. To me, the town stands out for not giving an overtly commercial feel compared to other summer spots. I had good ice cream, lobsters and oysters here. The food was pretty inexpensive compared to many tourist destinations. My photos don’t do it justice. Absolutely in love with the place.

Museums
The Currier Museum of Art boasts an extensive collection of both European and American art, ranging from the works of Monet to O'Keeffe. The museum also features a wide selection of decorative pieces in its expansive space. Visitors can expect to see a variety of modern and contemporary art alongside American crafts, including several paintings from the Hudson Valley school. Notable highlights include pieces by Picasso and Van Gogh, making it a highly recommended destination for art enthusiasts.
Relaxing. Quiet. Enjoyable. Interesting. Thesaurus. Words. Oops 😬!A mixture of modern and what would be considered classic art from mainly Europe 🌍 and the US, including sculptures and furniture available for close up viewing. A few of the pieces, such as the Van Gogh, have a rope in front with a motion detector, but you can get up close to study the pieces. There are benches and a few chairs to sit and observe the 🎨 paintings.I had a brief tour with one guide and learned of the history of the museum.I learned of a free admission Saturday that happens each month from the Hippo 🦛 Press newspaper 📰.There is a small Andy Warhol exhibit which is mostly videos he took of people looking into the camera for several minutes. Celebrities such as Bob Dylan and Lou Reed are shown. This exhibit had been at the museum 🖼️ for about 10 years. There is a restaurant/cafe available. Elevator for the disabled. Gift shop as well.If you enjoy art 🎨, check it out!

We spent some time experiencing the museum's collections and had lunch at the Café (delicious!) before our main purpose of being there, which was touring the 2 Frank Lloyd Wright designed homes the museum owns. The home tours were fantastic, with very knowledgeable and personable docents. We would like to go back and spend more time at the museum itself. We highly recommend the museum, the cafe' and the home tours.

Went here in high school and had to come back when I visited my home state. Beautiful art and exhibits. I was asked to keep my backpack at my side, very politely, not like you'd wear a backpack. But the option of putting my backpack away or in a locker was largely stressed. Even after I mentioned I needed my bag because I carried necessary emergency meds in it. Then was constantly followed and watched by the same 3 people. Even the initial person who told me to keep it at my side and was pressing about putting my bag away said "the Lourve let's people use backpacks like that but not us haha" other than that great art work and informational pieces with them. Still would recommend but I guess maybe bring a purse and not backpack if you have to carry emergency meds like me?

We didn't actually tour the museum exhibits, though our tickets allowed us entry. We were there to go on a tour of the two Frank Lloyd Wright designed homes which the museum owns. The tour was amazing. I have visited many house museums, and can state that our docents, Jim and Mike, were a great team. Very entertaining and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour to folks who may be interested.

Good museum. I like that it's not very big, it takes about an hour to walk around. They always have new exhibitions. They also have a nice cafe.

This is a beautiful gem of an art museum. Well worth the trip if you are an art-fan in Manchester, or New England in general. I saw several pieces I could identify as being famous. The entrance fee is reasonable, and I would recommend the Currier for a day trip. It is on the smaller side. A complete walkthrough of the museum took approximately 2 hours. Museum curators are working hard to be appealing to many different audiences.

I thought this was a Currier and Ives museum... it is a nice collection of art, has a fairly steep $20 admission... I saw several great pieces of art, but no Currier and Ives pieces. They do manage 2 Frank Lloyd Wright homes, but tours aren't offered that frequently but you can drive by and appreciate the exteriors.

Some big names like Joan Mitchell abstracts (featured in Masterworks platform). Parking on their lot is free. They also own 2 frank Lloyd wright homes nearby. The Gloucester Fishermen's Wives Memorial is a touching tribute to the resilient women who supported the fishing community for centuries. Erected by the Gloucester Fishermen's Wives Association, this monument depicts a woman with a boy and an infant, looking out to the harbor entrance. Situated at the north end of Stage Fort Park, it stands as a counterpoint to the more famous Man At the Wheel memorial.
It is wonderful path in the middle of the city. The flowers are just so beautiful and it makes the walk around there worthwhile. You can see also go in the water as there is a mini beach version of it.You can walk to the rocks and enjoy the view of the water. Ample parking available on the street. The most amusing things is that you can see the bridge open for boats to cross which causes traffic but it's nice to watch.Well maintained and definitely worth stopping here for the walk!

This complex used to have a great convenience store, a pharmacy, a bank, video store and a much better ice cream place that made ice cream cakes in addition to scoops. The pizza place has always been lame Greek style pizza with bad veggie subs. Now this building is filled with mostly quiet offices with little activity. I hear the owner charges high rent prices which is probably why there is such a lack of decent business here. It's a real shame. Lots of potential.

"The House of the Seven Gables" is a restored 1668 home in Salem, Massachusetts that inspired Nathaniel Hawthorne's novel. The house offers tours and features verdant seaside gardens. While Salem has its share of somber architecture, there is more to the city than brooding structures like this historic house. A walk down Chestnut Street reveals lighter yet historically significant homes from the Colonial era.
Our guide was outstanding, she showed us The House of Seven Gables and explained its history so well. Getting to see the original structure (atic) the secret staircase, the reasons for the rooms and ceiling heights as well as the grounds was quite an experience. The Hawthorne house was also quite impressive with how they moved it to the property to save it from being turned into a parking lot. Honestly well worth your time if you're in Salem.

We had a fantastic time during our visit. Our tour guide was friendly, well-informed, and struck the perfect balance in sharing details throughout the tour. The rooms were beautifully arranged, and the tour had a great flow. The garden was lovely and offered a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of Salem.I would definitely recommend visiting, even if, like us, you’re not familiar with Nathaniel Hawthorne or haven’t read The House of Seven Gables. If you take the evening tour, please make sure to stay back for the sunset, it is beautiful!

Simply breathtaking! House was amazing and the tour was informative, captivating, and entertaining. Tour guide did an amazing job presenting the info I really can't say enough to praise the experience. Also had an 8 year old who thoroughly enjoyed the place, including the scavenger hunt! Well done and stunning house and grounds!

Our family really enjoyed our visit. We had five people in our group, aged 15 to 63, and everyone had a great time. The home and the grounds are stunning. After your tour you're allowed to walk around the grounds and stop in the other buildings on site, including the museum store. Our tour guide was very well spoken and easy to hear and understand. The home tour is so incredibly fascinating. To see and experience all the history in the home, felt very magical. You literally step back in time. You even get to climb a hidden staircase. My mom has some mobility challenges due to her age and a medical condition. But she was able to navigate the home slowly and carefully. She ensured to stay in the back of the group so she could take her time going from room to room and taking the stairs. The tour guide was very patient and accommodating with her, which I greatly appreciate.

The tour was very interesting. The house is so neat and full of history. We learned a lot. The hidden staircase was extra fun! The grounds were beautiful as well. My only complaint is that our tour guide stood right in front of us all in each room, making it difficult to see all of the space. Otherwise I'd highly recommend the tour!

We really enjoyed our visit here. Our tour guide was really welcoming, knowledgeable and gave the perfect level of information throughout our tour. The rooms are well dressed and the flow of the tour works well. The garden is beautiful and very calm in what can be quite a busy place (Salem).I’m over 6foot and some of the passages were very low so watch your head as I hit mine a few times (even though I was warned a few times).I’d definitely recommend stopping by, even if like us you don’t know anything about Nathaniel Hawthorne or have never read the House of Seven Gables.

House of the Seven Gables has always held a special place in my heart. I remember finding it fascinating as a kid and still do to this day. During our most recent trip, our tour guide Frank, was awesome and knew the history. The Secret Staircase has always been the best part of the tour. If you don't feel like spending the $25 for the mansion tour, you can still tour the beautifully decorated grounds at a cheaper price. I highly recommend booking tickets in advance, especially on weekends and the Fall months. This is an attraction that you won't want to miss!

Amazing tour! Our guide, Scott, was very personable and knowledgeable. He navigated our questions with ease and charisma. The house is astonishing, you really can get a clear look into the past when you are surrounded by it. The slanted doorways and winding staircases (the secret one was quite the experience), the kitchen with its very low ceiling, and just the very cool history of everything and everyone that existed under these roofs. The gardens were also in full bloom and gorgeous.

My family recently visited Salem for the first time. The House of Seven Gables was our first stop. We had 4 kids with us, different ages. At first, they weren't too excited to do the tour. Luckily, we had a friendly group and an amazing tour guide, Stephen. He made the tour exciting with his enthusiasm and whole presentation. Our favorite part was going up the secret tiny staircase. We loved seeing the home and learning about the history there. Great experience.

This was one of the best house tours I’ve ever taken- and that is saying something, I take a lot of house tours. The little historical tidbits they give about the architecture over the years and the inhabitants are so interesting. The house itself is amazing, I’ve never seen another one like it inside. It was a perfect stop on a gloomy spring day in Salem, absolutely worth the entrance fee. Our tour guide was also enthusiastic and knowledgeable. All around a good time. The little buildings around the main house are also pretty cool. The area is easily accessible and close to other interesting sites in Salem.

A fantastic building and some classic historical early settlers architecture. The entire house and gardens has been made into a museum exploring the history and people that lived there. Museums
The Salem Witch Museum, established in 1972, is a must-visit for first-time travelers to Salem. It offers two main presentations: one delves into the 1692 Salem witch trials using life-size mannequins and prerecorded narration, while the other focuses on "Witches: Evolving Perceptions," exploring the history of witch-hunting and the evolution of the term "witch.
From the seamless online ticketing process to the well-structured tour, everything was well organized and hassle-free.The museum's setup is unique and interactive. Upon arrival, everyone gathers in the first room, where you're seated and immersed in a captivating 360-degree show about the history of Salem. The visuals and narration transport you back in time, allowing you to experience the events firsthand. It's a remarkable 10-minute journey that sets the stage for the rest of the tour. After the show, the group is divided in half, with one group proceeding to the second part of the tour while the other explores the gift shop. I found this division to be a great way to manage the flow of visitors, ensuring everyone has a comfortable experience. The second part of the tour delves deeper into the Salem witch trials, providing additional insights and historical context. It was fascinating to learn about the individuals involved and the impact these events had on the community. What impressed me most was how efficiently the entire experience was conducted. Despite covering a significant amount of information, the tour was completed in less than an hour, making it perfect for those with limited time. This concise format allows you to absorb the key aspects of Salem's history without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.Regarding the gift shop, I found it to be decent, but I would recommend checking out the Witch City Mall for a wider selection of souvenirs and mementos. However, the museum's gift shop does offer a good range of items related to the Salem witch trials, ensuring you can take a piece of history home with you.
Donna B — Google review
I know that everyone wants to visit the witch museum when visiting Salem, but honestly I don't think it is an experience worth paying for. The manikins look like they were made in 1692 and never updated. The audio sounds like something from a 60's B rated sci Fi flick and the story is something you could just get from a YouTube video for free. Just go sit in the common and watch any video online about a witch story from the time. Not to mention that the presentation is made so if you are sitting on one of the walls you won't be able to see the part that is highlighted during the story right above where you are seated. If you are seated in the center you can view the story that is highlighted on turns on a 360 rotation one at a time if you turn around as the room doesn't.After the first room they take you in turns (meaning in 2 groups) to a smaller room to hear another audio tour. At least the sound on this one is a bit better. Again lots of outdated decorations and a wall full with things to read (the timeline of the story) but no time to read them as you are brought into the room to hear the audio tour and then told to move along to see other outdated decorations in the room. Then at the end you are lead into the gift shop to buy stuff. So basically you pay to enter a store.Having done it once, I would tell friends visiting me, that this is definitely not worth paying for. Maybe if it was free and you wanted to sit for a while, but you can't go in when you want to, so my recommendation is, skip it.
Chris V — Google review
The building is neat. The idea is very fun! There isn't much to do!!!! The museum consists of 2 areas to view with audio information. Then, you go into the gift shop. I would love to have a little more to see.
Victoria J — Google review
If you don't get a red seat near the center, it's not very easy to see some of the exhibits. It's a packed and fast experience. I think if you know about the witch trials, like really know the facts, it isn't worth it. The history wall is amazing, but you get so little time before the next group is coming through; you don't have time to follow the entire timeline. I will say they do a decent job, albeit watered down, of explaining the reality of The Craft at the very end.
Leslie S — Google review
Overall, it was a decent historical museum. All scenes and displays were non animated, and tape recorded nararated voices. The first portion was various scenes in an auditorium. The second portion was a few displays and a person guided tour. They do need to either modify the initial instructions given at the beginning of the presentation or follow the instructions given in regards to what to do after the presentation based on ticket color. This was confusing when they did not follow the information provided. Also, for $17.50 per person with as many presentations and people participating daily, I would have expected a little more.
Jennifer D — Google review
Wonderful immersion experience covering the Salem witch trials. The gift shop was amazing and my partner had to drag me away. Highly recommended.
Adrian L — Google review
It’s an interesting display and show that allows visitors to understand a little bit more of what happened during the witch trials. If you’ve read or watched The Crucible or are familiar with the history, there’s not really much for you here. There’s no photos or filming allowed insideI’m not sure I would call this a museum, as there’s only one exhibit, sort of. That being said, I’d still visit if I was here for the first time, but I can understand people that feel like this is a tourist trapI recommend buying tickets in advance particularly during October. They sell on midnight each day through the website during the month
Franco — Google review
The experience is nice, and the information is good about witches. I wish the visuals were a little more or maybe give a little more time for the people touring the museum to look at the exhibit.. but all in all, I would highly recommend visiting. The staff is super friendly and the gift shop is very nice and fairly inexpensive.

“Museum” with a sort of wax figure presentation of famous scenes that happened during the Salem Witch trials. There was a lot of information presented about how the witch trials began and details of the trials certain people faced - included info on Tituba, Sarah Good, Giles Corey, John Proctor, and more.I was advised at the visitors center as soon as we arrived in Salem to choose ONE of the witch museums if we were interested because they were all basically the same. We chose this one. We’re glad we went, but it was very much “go to this room and listen. Now go to this room and listen. Now leave,” so you couldn’t look around at your own pace. Considering the price, this wasn’t even close to being our favorite site in Salem. If you already feel you’re an expert on this piece of history, you might not learn much here. I have a bit more of a casual knowledge of the trials, so I did actually learn a bit.We didn’t have to wait and bought our tickets on the spot, but we were here in June. Might be a different story closer to Halloween.
Hannah — Google review
I was really expecting more. The building is super cool on the outside. I thought with "Museum" in the name it would have artifacts and museum type things. Instead it was some Wax(?) figures with a voice over while you sat in a room. Then you get divided up so they can send you to their gift shop (it worked I bought stuff so kudos to them on their nice marketing ploy). It was cool but not at all what I expected

The Peabody Essex Museum (PEM) is a top-notch museum showcasing regional American and Asian art, as well as historical artifacts. It originated from the East India Marine Society, established by Salem sea captains in the 18th century. The museum boasts an extensive collection of nearly 2 million works of art and cultural pieces, including a life-size wood sculpture of the Hawaiian god Ku and the captain's desk from the Mary Celeste.
We loved our afternoon at Peabody Essex Museum! We reserved tickets from our local library, and picked them up at the front desk. Very easy process. We ditched the map and just followed the twists and turns to see what was around the next corner. The Chinese House was stunning. A must visit! Definitely made our trip. We also loved the Native American wing and the Garden Atrium. Would definitely come back for a new exhibit!

What a beautiful museum. I was particularly fascinated by the Native American exhibits. What a beautiful variety of pieces throughout history to today that gives you a better understanding of the history of America that we weren’t told in schools. Highly recommended- if you like museums, I’d plan for 4-5 hours. They say two, but we didn’t get through half of it in two hours. The arrangement is a little confusing, but I think it’s likely because the museum has just been added onto for years. That said, the staff were helpful!

It's a one time in a lifetime experience. I feel since the museum is in the heart of Salem. There should be more exhibitions on the witch trials. I loved that there were rooms with beautiful art. The museum is beautifully built and the gift shop was great. The food at the location was great, too. I was just disappointed that the exhibition for salem Witch trials was so dull. They only had like 3 rooms connected. They should have added color to match the theme of the trials to know and feel what it was like for the victims.

The main museum was a great experience. I was impressed at how large and diverse the permanent exhibit is. The Salem Witch Trials Memorial in Salem, Massachusetts, is a solemn site commemorating the 20 victims of the infamous witch trials in 1692. The memorial consists of stacked and inscribed granite stones adjacent to a burial ground. It serves as a reminder of the mass hysteria that led to the execution of innocent citizens accused of witchcraft. The names and dates of each victim are etched on stone memorials located near where many examinations took place.
We had THE MOST impressive tour guide to take us through Salem, Krystina. She runs The Historian's Guide to the Salem Witch Trials. The conversation at the memorial was so informative and honored the memory of the lives lost. It was a fantastic and unforgettable experience!

Who wouldn't want to spend their vacation exploring the Salem Witch Trials? This lovely chapter in history has it all - religious hysteria, false accusations, and good old fashioned persecution. Seeing the courthouse where lives were ruined based on hearsay really warms the heart. Don't forget the chilling old jail where the "witches" were kept. And the graveyard is just full of fun memories!Really, the Salem Witch Trials sites are so uplifting. Nothing like a lesson in injustice and intolerance to put a smile on your face. The creative "tests" for witchcraft are a true highlight. If you're looking for a delightful way to reflect on the progress we've made as a society, I can't recommend a visit here enough! A true blast from the past.

The self guided tour is free but you can get a guided tour. You really don't need one. Tje memorial is right next to the graveyard. It is a small open place with rock walls. In the walls there are rocks sticking out that has the names of all the witchcraft trials. It is a vety sad part of early American history. If you visit the cematary don't pass it by.

Very interesting history. Our group just walked it on our own. Overheard a few of the tour guides. Will come back with the family and get one of our own for more information.

Very busy tourist destination even in the summer, lots of shops,my daughter had her tarot done and we learned a lot about the poor woman who were put to death, one even pressed to death in the middle of the street! Really makes you think 🤔 Who were the bad ones? The woman who kept to themselves, lived alone, worshiping mother earth or the people killing them? They should be ashamed 😞 But everyone has an opinion and it's interesting to hear all the different sides, so much to do you should really make a weekend or vacation out of the visit because one day just isn't enough time. We'll definitely be back 💯

A very moving place, where the redidents of Salem were trying to make up the mistakes of the past. The monument was errected with the help of Eli Wiesel, who survived the Holocaust.

I purchased tickets at the Salem witch museum and watched a theatrical explanation of the trials. They presented a postcard that had a QR code (can be reused for the day) that could be use at shops around the museum for a discount price. I got something at the museum gift shop and got a tarot reading at another shop with the postcard. After I walked to the witch house(exterior only), graveyard and memorial for free and it's only about a block or two away.

A beautiful and humbling memorial of our troubled past. There are markers for those killed in the witch trials and offerings left by other individuals. The area is clean and seemed to be respected by those visiting when I was there. Just reading the memorials made the stories seem that much more tragic.Definitely a must see if you are visiting Salem.

This is a popular place to stop. There is so much history here. The local tour guides are great and offer so much insight on this memorial, the historic cemetery, and other buildings right there. It's a great neighborhood to walk around. Tourist friendly coffee shops and restaurants all around.

The entire site was sad but exciting. There are people standing guard over the yard and Graves. There was stones and little items placed on the name stone benches. So, no touching, please.

Enjoyed the park, lots of walking trails and looks like a good place to fish for carp and bass. Area seems slightly sketchy which is the only reason for my four stars. However, there are lots of people who go here so it’s probably pretty safe with all the people around.

Mine Falls Park in Nashua is a picturesque natural gem that offers a wide range of outdoor activities. With its extensive network of trails along the Nashua River, it's a great place for hiking, biking, and even cross-country skiing in the winter. The park features beautiful scenery, including waterfalls and wildlife. The picnic areas make it an ideal spot for family outings, and the park's history as a former industrial site adds an interesting layer to its character. Overall, Mine Falls Park provides a peaceful escape from the urban surroundings and is a wonderful place to connect with nature.

I loooveee going to mine falls! It’s absolutely my favorite place to go to exercise/and or walk. I love seeing all the animals. The trails are beautiful. There is all different trails that you can go on. If it’s your first time going there they actually have a QR code to scan where you can look at the entire map of the park so you don’t get lost. It’s an amazing place especially if you want to just listen to music and take in all the scenery it’s very relaxing to me and peaceful. I can always go there and just clear my mind of stress etc.

Beautiful park with well laid out trails so you don't easily get lost. There's a convenient and pretty clean bathroom by the field. I was disappointed when I returned to my rental car to see that I received a parking ticket. I am from Florida and just wanted to enjoy the beauty of New Hampshire and the changing colors and this is the welcome I receive. I am not familiar with the area and not aware of parking restrictions and didn't see any signs with restrictions at this park. I have traveled to many, many other states and enjoyed their nature trails without being penalized with a parking ticket. I looked around and saw that no one else was ticketed. This put a bad taste in my mouth and made me feel unwelcome because I had out of state plates. I will never go to another New Hampshire park again for fear of receiving more violations. The fine is $200 and there are no warning signs.

Visitors can explore a variety of stores selling jewelry, clothing, souvenirs, footwear, pet products, and more. The marketplace also boasts numerous eateries where visitors can sample different cuisines.
I went in here as a quick stop since we were just there for a day through a cruise, but I highly enjoyed myself and was wonderfully surprised at how educational it was. I didn't realize Boston was such a big part of our American history in more ways than one. It's truly inspirational; the spirit of revolution lingers in the air. The marketplace has an old structure, but it's pretty modern. I liked that I didn't really see a lot of big franchises or big brand names. Highly recommend this as a stop while in town.

What a great place to visit! It was busy and bustling with lots of booths offering different crafts and wares. Got some high quality Boston memorabilia here to bring back home with me. Better than all the cheap touristy stuff you could find elsewhere. Plus there's lots of history to look at after you shop!

It's was OK. I guess I expected more put of it. Plus, the historical coury house is closed for renovations. It's just a series of souvenirs for the Boston area and some food stands. I would say more but there really isn't anything else to say about it. Walk through it if you are in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way to go there.

A lovely place to spend a few hours on a weekend, but the 'touristy' aspect of the places means the prices of the souvenirs may be a bit higher than other places. The food is also great and you have a huge variety to choose from! Taste is subject to where you get your meal, but I haven't been disappointed so far!

This park has many historical sites and is mostly built around events that happened between Lexington and Concord. The road also doubles as a very nice walking or running path. This park doesn't require entrance fees like many other parks. There is a visitor's center that has lots of good information and some guided tours along with many history markers and houses. However, the week we were there the visitor center was closing at noon instead of 5:00 like is posted online. I don't know how to tell people to check closing time because they just put up a temporary physical sign at the entry. It might be possible to call them.We had a wonderful tour/walk with a friendly park ranger who told us about a nearby skirmish site, what we know and what we wish we knew.

This is a great area surrounded by nature and full of history. The Battle Trail is a nice walk or bike. I rode my bike and there was some good little downhill in the northwest direction. I did round trip and it was around 7 miles. The old buildings remind you of what was and how we got here. The battlefields hold so much memory. Imagine a redcoat or blue coat hiding behind a tree with musket in hand, as you walk through. Stop by all the signs and get the facts.Enjoy your visit and bikers remember that walkers are on trail.

Such an amazing experience to stand where the revolutionary war started. Parking is close by to the top of the hill closest to the museum and gift shop. As you step out you are over looking the field that shows the north bridge in the background. If you follow the path down the hill and around the field it will bring you to the bridge. Such a great place, rich with history beneath your feet.

If you are a Revolutionary War buff, you will love this place for the historical sites. The North Bridge was my favorite spot. We listened to a costumed ranger talk about the minute men. They do this twice a day at Hartwell tavern. They also did a musket firing demo. You could visit this park and just hit the highlights without spending a lot of time, or slow down and look at every site.
Prudence L — Google review
She found this place and we wanted to get out so figured we’d check it out. It was actually really cool! It was like you got to experience what they experienced way back when, within reason. Walking down the same roads, in the heat, but them not knowing if they would make it or be ambushed. The plaques were very descriptive and helpful. Lots of history in a pretty small area. Definitely glad we went. PET OWNERS PICK UP YOUR POO BAGS! We saw like 3 or 4 around the park which is absolutely unacceptable. We took our dogs but would be a shame if they every ban dogs due to lazy people. There was also a restroom facility and water about halfway of the area we toured so that was helpful. Everything was very well maintained and such. You can go in the one house if it’s open that day and talk to a staff person about stuff.

Fenway Park is a historic and intimate ballpark located in Boston, known as the home of the Red Sox and a venue for big-name concerts. It holds a significant place in Boston's built environment, alongside landmarks like Faneuil Hall and the Freedom Trail. The stadium offers behind-the-scenes tours during the off-season and hosts a popular summer concert series.
We stopped by on Thanksgiving just to see the park whilst on our short stay. Even though we knew there was no games on, or bars open it was still a great trip to be able to walk around and see all of the great moments outside of the park as well as being able to take some great pictures. With all the different bars around, and food places I can imagine it's a great atmosphere when there is a game on. Would love to return and watch a Red Sox game.

This is a baseball temple. Everyone should see at a Fenway. Does not matter if you like baseball or not. The field is aesthetically stunning. The experience was everything I dreamed it would be.Getting to the park is easy, I was able to walk from my accommodations near the commons. Gates open 90 minutes before and security is easy.Seats in the grandstand are pretty uncomfortable if you are tall, but they are covered. Seats don’t all face home plate.

A friend and I had the opportunity to tour Fenway Park, and it was the most amazing place I have ever been seen. I recommend taking a tour of the stadium before you go to a game. Anywhere you decide to or whatever team you love!It shows you all the grandeur of the stadium before you get to take the opportunity to watch a game, so it's worth it! We had the opportunity to see actual Gardens there at the stadium and sit at the top of the big green monster in the seats and in the Press Box looking across to the red seat that a man at one time was hit in the head with a baseball and it's to be the longest distance that they have hit a baseball. So much to see and so much history that we wouldn't know by just going to a game. I highly recommend doing this before each stadium you go to to see a baseball team play!

Beautiful historic ballpark! We came here to see Green Day. Security was efficient and we got in quickly. We had a little trouble finding our seats, but an employee led us to them. Even though we had side-stage seats, the smaller size of the park meant we were still fairly close to the stage. The sound was amazing too! It was also easy to get out at the end of the show, no bottlenecks at the gates. Would absolutely come here again!

What can I say! Fenway Park is awesome and legendary! It’s the best place I have ever watched a baseball game! What’s so cool about it is that it’s so much more than the game. It’s a party and the whole city of Boston is in on it! The game was supposed to start at 630 and with the rain delay it started around 740 and I wasn’t bored at all! The music, the crowd, the energy, the videos, all of it was awesome! A must for anyone visiting Boston! They also have the best store for any professional team that I’ve ever seen. It is huge!

We had an amazing visit to Fenway Park today. We've been to a couple of games previously, but thought we'd try the tour today since we had so much fun doing the Wrigley Field tour in Chicago a few months ago. The Old North Bridge in Concord is an absolute gem that beautifully encapsulates both the rich history and the serene beauty of the area. Stepping onto this iconic bridge feels like stepping back in time, into a moment that forever changed the course of history. The bridge itself is a charming architectural wonder, standing as a testament to the past. As I walked across it, I couldn't help but imagine the courageous Minutemen who once stood before the imposing redcoats, ready to defend their homeland. The courage and determination of those who fought here on April 19th, 1775, reverberate through the very air, reminding us of the sacrifices made for the sake of freedom and independence. The peaceful river flowing beneath the bridge seems to hold the echoes of that historic day, flowing gently as a symbol of the tranquility that came after the storm of battle. The juxtaposition of the serene waters and the memory of past strife is a poignant reminder of the enduring spirit of the American people.Surrounded by magnificent gardens, the Old North Bridge area is a blend of natural beauty and historical significance. The gardens themselves are a sight to behold, with vibrant colors and fragrant blooms that invite contemplation and reflection. To stroll through these gardens while contemplating the events that unfolded here is a truly immersive experience. What strikes me most is the sense of beauty and freedom that pervades the area. Standing in this place, knowing the bravery and sacrifice that unfolded here, is a humbling experience. It's a reminder of the power of unity and the determination to stand up for what's right, even in the face of adversity. The Old North Bridge in Concord isn't just a landmark; it's a living testament to the ideals that have shaped our nation. The sense of history, the tranquility of the river, and the stunning gardens all come together to create an unforgettable atmosphere that leaves a profound impact on anyone who visits. If you're seeking a place that combines history, beauty, and a deep sense of patriotism, the Old North Bridge is an absolute must-visit.With gratitude for the past and hope for the future,Jean-Louis Eck

I tried to post a wide variety of items on display there, but there are so many items in the museum, I could only post a small sampling. If you are hungry, I recommend going to the cafeteria there (not the restaurant). Their hamburgers are incredibly good with lettuce, tomato, pickles and onions and are about the same price as McDonald's burgers. Add a bag of Lay's Classic and a bottle of chocolate milk and you are refueled for more exhibits.

Amazing collection of modern art and history. You definitely need multiple visit to go around and appreciate all of it.Art from ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, Africa and the Americas… art from the Flemish and Dutch, Islamic art, contemporary art, and more. So much to see and be in awe of.

You could easily get lost here for hours. There’s a very wide range of art and exhibitions spreading across the globe on all continents and across different religions and cultures. There’s genuinely something for everyone. It was an overall pleasant experience.

The museum is pretty big but it is possible to see it in about 3 hours if you're not that thorough. Maybe 4 hours if you like to read everything. There's a good variety, organized by location (such as "Art of Asia" or "Art of the Americas"). It's not particularly well paid out though, with lots of wings that just kind of end up in a dead end. And the parking at the parking garage is very expensive at $35 for 5 hours.

The MFA was surprisingly amazing! I knew it was a good art museum, yet I had no idea we had such an incredible bounty of art history and culture in Boston! The cafe and amenities were great and high-quality, and the displays were simply awe-inspiring. The Egyptian section is very thoughtful, and the European paintings almost made me cry with the effort and skill. The gift shop is also quite nice!! Haha!

What a wonderful collection of History and Talent! A fantastic use of my time here in the city! Easy access to parking, friendly employees and lots to see! You may want to buy your tickets in advance though on the weekends. The line can be pretty long.

As I approached the museum, the grand neoclassical façade promised a world of treasures inside, and it did not disappoint. The museum is well-organized, with clear signage directing visitors to various exhibits—making the exploration both effortless and engaging.Inside the museum, I was struck by the thoughtful presentation of art from across eras and continents. Notable was a bronze statue, possibly from the 15th-century, its verdigris patina lending an air of timelessness. The sculpture seemed to gaze at passersby, offering a silent narrative of history’s depth.Equally impressive was a dramatic painting depicting what appeared to be a historic scene of chaos and grandeur, its dark, swirling sky looming over classical architecture. The painter’s mastery of light and shadow brought the scene to life, engulfing me in the depicted moment of turmoil and majesty.

The Museum Of Fine Arts (MFA) was worth every cent! What a special surprise birthday gift from my fiance. The John Singer Sargent Exhibit was amazing! His paintings were/are so detailed, so clear as if the portraits of the people posing for his expertise painting session would have reached out or moved. Honestly his paintings are magnificent, just absolutely stunning! Each painting displayed was so large and placed in beautifully carved wooden frames with a plaque of a description. To think just how old each painting was truly set my mind into nostalgic mode. Honestly a will set you back and think before technology. I am still in awe!!! Also, the Cafe was delicious, plus musical entertainment with dancers and amazing Lime Green glass art by Dale Chihuly is next to the courtyard. I seriously didn't want to leave MFA, but we were there for 4 hours and had to move along to other plans. ⭐I highly recommend!

Wonderful experience for visiting the great museum. I pretty much spent whole day here. So many amazing pieces being well preserved and presented. Hopefully I will have more time to visit again in the future. BTW, the museum closes on Tuesdays. And there are plenty food and drinks services inside the museum. There is a parking lot too( not free).

This museum offers free admission for students with a valid student ID card, making it an excellent destination, especially for art enthusiasts. I was thrilled to discover a vast collection of Buddhist statues and artwork during my visit. As someone who appreciates art, this museum was truly a treasure trove worth exploring, especially considering the complimentary entry. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in experiencing a diverse range of artwork.

Went to see the Dali exhibit and it was great. The museum is very beautiful and has some great impressionist paintings.Next time I come to Boston the Museum is definitely on my list of things to see.

Decent variety of artwork spanning across the ages. The general map they hand out is too high level so it’s hard to find specific artists and where they are located. Ex, John Singer Sargent. And the online search wasn’t efficient enough for this either. Cafe next to the store is available to sit and rest tired legs. Coat and bag check available. You can spend multiple hours here and not be able to see it all.

One of the best art museum experiences of our lives. We spent the whole day there and could easily have spent multiple days exploring all the rooms. A fantastic way to spend a day

Very diverse museum with plenty of pieces from different regions of the world throughout varying time periods. I think this museum offers a good range for people who are hardcore history fanatics or the casual visitor that just wants to have a new experience. My advice would be to take your time and read the descriptions of the pieces that catch your attention. If you try to read everything, you'll burn yourself out. Take a break and visit the cafe.

AMAZING! Our favorite spot to relax and to buy wine. We also go every year for apple picking, best place to do it. Try the Estate Riesling and the Maidens Blush. I always have headaches with wines but NOT with theirs, they are absolutely amazing, the also have good beers and whisky, definitely do the tour, its really good and you can try different wines and you keep your glass. Everything about this place is awesome.

What a busy little place! Kid and dog friendly. There is apple picking when in season. Over 10 different kinds of apples to choose from. The grounds have so many picnic tables, umbrella tables and a huge coveted patio upstairs and down to sit under. The store has a great selection of wines, beet, and distilled liquors all made on the premises. We went on a Saturday and it was very busy, stand in lines busy, but you moved fairly fast. You can purchase a Nashoba winery etched glass for $4.00 along with your bottle of wine you can drink, outside. They check ids then put a paper bracelet on your wrist. There are cheeses and crackers for sales. Multiple food options outside to choose from. A great place to sit back and talk and enjoy a nice bottle of wine and food with.

Website says in big bold letters that reservations are not required for sitting outside and ordering food/drinks. All of the tables had reserved signs when we got there. Luckily there was one table open. Food took 45 minutes to receive. Was supposed to get a text when the food was ready and when it wasn’t I asked a worker about it and she said she would check on it but never did. I had to walk up to the food counter multiple times before finally I just stood there and then suddenly my food was ready. All we ordered were three street tacos and the pretzels. Unfortunately the food was not worth the wait. We did not enjoy the wine either. We will not be back.

Nashoba Valley Vineyard in Bolton, MA offers a quintessential New England experience that is perfect for a day out with friends and family. Their summer concert series is a must-attend, offering an inviting atmosphere with its well-spaced picnic tables. The serene pond and tastefully designed tasting rooms add to the overall ambiance, making the experience even more delightful. One of the highlights is the patio that overlooks the sprawling vineyard— a perfect backdrop for sipping a glass of wine. The venue is both kid and dog-friendly, which means the whole family can revel in an afternoon outing here.Ordering is a breeze thanks to their user-friendly online app, and the efficient runners will bring your wine right to your table. On occasion, you'll also find food trucks, allowing for some great food and wine pairing opportunities. While the wine may not rival what you'll find in Napa Valley, it's pretty solid for a New England vineyard. Giving it four stars, I'd say that what it may lack in wine sophistication, it more than makes up for in ambiance and friendliness. It's definitely a place worth visiting multiple times throughout the summer.

Gorgeous venue with tons of picnic tables with umbrellas and shaded patio space. Monday afternoon was quiet but I imagine it gets quite busy with the multiple outdoor bars and food service stations. The beer menu was good and the pretzels were fine! (Spinach artichoke dip was meh).) The wine sampler was mostly a little sweet for my taste but overall this was a lovely experience sitting at their gorgeous location for a snack and drink! They even have an apple orchard.

Great setting for groups or families of all ages. Plenty of parking spaces and outdoor seating area, with nice view thou. The staffs explained everything we need to know clearly. The food menu has offered good varieties. We used our phone to order and pay by scanning the QR provided on each table. Drinks brought to our table and I picked up the food after a “ready” text message received. Overall was a good experience, especially the weather was really nice that day.

Girls day wine tasting with small plates served. We loved it! It felt so rustic, big, open, homey, and welcoming. Plenty of choices of wine and the small plates were a perfect compliment. Our server, Katherine, was terrific! When I left I grabbed a bottle of wine, jar of spicy chili bacon jam, and olive salad. All delicious. Can't wait to come back.

The Worcester Art Museum is a renowned institution housing an extensive and diverse collection of over 35,000 artworks spanning more than 5,000 years. From ancient to contemporary pieces, the museum showcases European masterworks alongside global cultural artifacts. Visitors can admire paintings by renowned artists such as Monet and Goya, explore the silver collection by Paul Revere, marvel at floor mosaics from Antioch, and immerse themselves in cutting-edge contemporary art.
This is a fantastic art museum with a wide array of well organized paintings, sculptures, relics, and special exhibits. We went specifically for the Higgins collection of medieval arms and armor. I also enjoyed the collection from the National Portrait Gallery. Staff and docents were friendly, and the scavenger hunt for my 9yo son was fun. With the holidays, they also had decorated trees, a guest train layout, and various activities from ice carving to hands-on armor tryouts. The proximity to parks and historical sites makes WAM and Worcester overall a great day trip.

A gorgeous art museum found in the second largest city in Massachusetts. While most tourists may gravitate to the museums in Boston, this one should not be overlooked. Their permanent collection consists of art and items from around the globe and include the Higgins Armory Collection after that museum closed several years ago. The rotating galleries always feature a new, fascinating collection. I'm fortunate enough to have seen the Jewels of the Nile exhibit and was blown away by the presentation. Truly a must visit for art lovers!

This is always a fun local visit for me and my family. I am currently a New England Museum Association (NEMA) member and can visit for free plus one guest. I probably visit every other year when I want to see the latest new exhibit. My one complaint is that the Egyptian art was replaced by medieval art when the WAM received the collections of Higgins Armory.

Seriously cool place. Loved that they added things to make the museum more accessible/interesting to children without seeming pandering or watering down the content. This place is a visual feast for all ages. Loved that some exhibits included information or video on how the object was relocated and put up for display. Gift shop is nifty too.

A wonderful gem so close to home! Special points for being fully handicap accessible, even in a snow covered winter month like January in New England. We were drawn to visit by the museum because of the Rembrandt exhibit of beautiful (yet tiny) etchings. Spent about four hours exploring and know there was much more that we were forced to save for another visit. Easy to get to, plenty of accessible parking, great wheelchair ramps, friendly, polite, and helpful staff — a great outing with my dad. Highly recommend WAM. And while you’re in town, some other beautiful old church buildings and other architecture if you’re into that sort of thing. The Roman and Greek sculpture is always my favorite, but many individual galleries of painters, sculptures, medieval armor and weapons, beautiful mosaics, and more. I’ll post a few photos, but didn’t take very many.

A well designed art museum having a wide variety of paintings, sculpture and most surprisingly a whole mosaic from Ancient Turkey. Unfortunately several rooms are closed and the elevator is not working. Parking free and spacious. The museum officers are kind and friendly. There some educational activities for children on weekends. You can reserve your tickets cheaper by using your local library network.

The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts is an opulent Renaissance-style space that has a rich history dating back to 1904 when it was originally known as the Franklin Square Theatre. Over the years, it has undergone several ownership changes and renovations, including the addition of a stunning two-story lobby with marbleized columns, mirrored walls, and a grand staircase.
If you haven't been and taken advantage of this beautiful theatre you're missing a great opportunity. The artistry of both theatre and plays with such wonderful artists is something you're missing out on and is a shame to miss.

The Nutcracker performance was festive and fun. The theater was beautiful and the staff was friendly. Parking was easy. I was grateful that proof of vaccine and masks are required. The family of six behind us was coughing, sniffling and sneezing throughout the performance and only partially kept their masks on. It’s still a pandemic. If you’re sick, stay home.

Amazing historical esthetics and architecture. Gorgeous and breath taking inside. My son thought we were in a castle! The seats and facility was clean and the ushers and staff were overly caring and understanding when the venue was too loud for my 3 year old. They even put a TV streaming the show on for us and carried over a bench for us to sit and watch the show from the lobby. The concession stand was very reasonably priced and though I don't endulge, I saw multiple kinds of alcoholic drinks in other parents hands. In all it was an incredibly unforgettable experience. I recommend you try it out

The show was great. My seats in orchestra left row. Z were horrible no room compared to the rest of the seats and rows so one comfortable it ruined the night I’m a tall, big guy with a bad hip. I always get aisle seats to make it more comfortable for me that didn’t help tonight no where did it say anything about this row being different from the rest of the rows and I probably paid the same price as people in front of me that had so much more room

The LAST thing you'd EVER expect in Worcester: BUT, the Hanover is a STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL full-fledged Broadway-quality level Theater 🎭. It rivals the Trinity Repertory Theater in Providence, R.I. (which is affiliated with Brown's Graduate Theater Program).; & the Emerson Majestic Theater in Boston; which is owned by Emerson College.SO, when I applied to Clark University, I was THRILLED to find out (as a Theater/Film student), that I could actually take courses/audition for and perform at the Hanover Conservatory. Even though I went elsewhere for my undergraduate college years (further West in MA in Amherst), I still was impressed by Clark and The Hanover's affiliation. I've seen some of the shows presented by the Hanover, it's world-class quality Theater.

The Hanover Theatre website online ticket sales system is glitchy. Your credit card may get charged but sales receipts and tickets never issued. The box office staff will indicate no knowledge of how the payment systems work if you call for help, and they are rude and unhelpful. Should you manage to obtain tickets and attend a show, you'll find that the volunteer ushers also are rude and unhelpful. The last time I attended, the ushers shut and blocked the doors to seating five minutes before the scheduled Intermission ended, forcing me and several other theatre-goers to miss most of the second half of the show. No explanation, apology, or refund was offered. I will not be returning to this theatre.

What a great visit we had while attending a performance of “A Christmas Carol”. I was so impressed with all manner of the production, from the sets and scenery, the music, lighting to the acting. I am looking forward to viewing more productions at The Hanover Theater very much and can highly recommend doing so.

Don't let the outside construction ward you off from coming inside to see a show. The line moved seamlessly. Well staffed. Bathrooms were clearly marked and very clean. I sat in gold circle orchestra. The seats were comfortable and there was plenty of leg room. The sound system was great. Lighting was amazing. I liked that there were no stairs, it was sloped and carpeted. The drink prices were reasonable. Bottled water was 3.00. Easy in and out of the theater. I will attend again now that I know how amazing this page is.

Paid $180, saw no show. Be aware they do not cancel or refund shows even during a blizzard. Supporting the arts becomes a risk-reward proposition. I like to support theater, but I usually like to see a performance with that support.
